Toxic
Damages the user's liver and induces vomiting. Toxic is a tier-2 effect that adds +0% of the product's base value to the sell price and contributes 0.000 addictiveness to the customer. Like all effects it stacks with the others already on a product, up to the 8-effect limit, and it can be mixed onto any product in the game.
Which Ingredient Adds It
Exactly one ingredient carries Toxic in the v0.4.7 data:
| Ingredient | Price | Unlocks at | Value on OG Kush |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gasoline | $5 | Hoodlum (tier 5) | $35 |
On a $35 OG Kush bud the ingredient pays for itself as long as Toxic is worth more than its $5 cost — which at +0% of base value it is on every product except the zero-bonus ones.
Transformations
In the full game, mixing can also transform effects — an ingredient added to a product that already carries certain effects replaces or converts them instead of appending. The transformation table is derived from the game's own mix-map data; since that audit is done, our calculator and every recipe on this site use the append-only model, which reproduces all community-verified prices so far (OG Kush base $39, Green Crack + Banana $50). Toxic is not the initial effect on any product.
Price Multiplier
Toxic adds +0% of the base value. Because the bonus scales with the product's base price, the same effect is worth a different dollar amount depending on what you mix it onto:
| Product | Base price | Sell price with Toxic | Value added |
|---|---|---|---|
| OG Kush | $35 | $35 | +$0 |
| Meth | $70 | $70 | +$0 |
| Cocaine | $150 | $150 | +$0 |
Note the zero: Toxic's bonus is 0%, so the sell price does not move. It is in the game data with a full effect profile, but it never contributes to price — mixing it into a profit build only spends an ingredient and one of the 8 effect slots.
Full formula: sell price = base × (1 + the sum of every effect's bonus), rounded to the whole dollar — the same math the mixing calculator runs for any ingredient chain.
Products That Want It
No best mix on this site uses Toxic: it adds nothing to the sell price, so it never beats any priced effect for a slot. Its place is in quest solutions and deliberate product design, not profit mixing. If you need it on a product anyway, the calculator will show what it costs you.
