Disorienting

Causes unpredictable movement and slight visual impairment in the user. Disorienting is a tier-2 effect that adds +0% of the product's base value to the sell price and contributes 0.000 addictiveness to the customer. Like all effects it stacks with the others already on a product, up to the 8-effect limit, and it can be mixed onto any product in the game.

Which Ingredient Adds It

No ingredient in the v0.4.7 data adds Disorienting directly — the ingredient shelf reaches 16 of the game's 35 effects, and this is not one of them. It can still appear on a product through effect transformations during mixing or as part of scripted content; the transformation table is derived from the game's own mix-map data, and this page will list every confirmed chain once they are nailed down.

Best Recipe to Get Disorienting

The solver explored every ingredient sequence (up to 8, transformation rules included) and this is the most profitable recipe that ends with Disorienting on the final product — Horse Semen → Addy → Gasoline → Viagor → Cuke → Battery → Horse Semen → Mega Bean on Cocaine.

Transformations

Mixing does not only append effects — under v0.4.7 rules an ingredient first applies its transformation table (if-effect-present → replace-with) to the effects already in the bucket, and only then adds its own default effect if there is room. That is exactly how Disorienting can appear on a product even when no ingredient carries it: another effect gets converted into it mid-mix. The full 114-rule table is derived from the game's own mix-map data and every recipe on this site runs it. Disorienting is not the initial effect on any product.

Price Multiplier

Disorienting adds +0% of the base value. Because the bonus scales with the product's base price, the same effect is worth a different dollar amount depending on what you mix it onto:

ProductBase priceSell price with DisorientingValue added
OG Kush$35$35+$0
Meth$70$70+$0
Cocaine$150$150+$0

Note the zero: Disorienting's bonus is 0%, so the sell price does not move. It is in the game data with a full effect profile, but it never contributes to price — mixing it into a profit build only spends an ingredient and one of the 8 effect slots.

Full formula: sell price = base × (1 + the sum of every effect's bonus), rounded to the whole dollar — the same math the mixing calculator runs for any ingredient chain.

Products That Want It

No best mix on this site uses Disorienting: it adds nothing to the sell price, so it never beats any priced effect for a slot. Its place is in quest solutions and deliberate product design, not profit mixing. If you need it on a product anyway, the calculator will show what it costs you.
